Fueling the next generation of engineering leaders, ACEC Indiana Emerging Professionals was established in 2017. This program connects bright minds under 35 from member firms, fostering their professional development and networking within the engineering community.

Embracing Authenticity: Confronting Imposter Syndrome with Resilience- Jan. 8, 2025
This workshop addressed the complex experience of imposter syndrome, particularly for individuals breaking barriers in their respective fields or spaces. Attendees gained clarity on the nature of imposter syndrome and learn strategies to resist its debilitating effects, empowering them to navigate spaces with confidence and authenticity. Through discussions on resilience and self-management, participants were equipped to dismantle barriers and pave the way for inclusivity and diversity in their chosen domains.
 Managing Budget and Expectations on Workflow- Oct. 24, 2024Â
This event was designed to provide Emerging Professionals tips and tricks to financial success on a project level. The group learned strategies and gained insights on financial growth in project management from industry experts who shared real-life experiences and lead interactive discussions.
Revolutionizing Professional Writing for Emerging Professionals- May 22, 2024
Emerging Professionals learned best practices on how to harness the power of AI in everyday work and how to master the art of professional writing. This was an engaging and interactive workshop designed to equip EPs with the skills and knowledge to excel in their career.
Advocacy 101 Spotlight Webinar- Jan. 24, 2024
This session unpacked the power of advocacy for consulting engineers. Discover its essence and significance to the profession, followed by a deep dive into ACEC Indiana's advocacy efforts. You'll not only learn how to be part of the movement but also gain insights into critical issues impacting the 2024 General Assembly and, ultimately, your career. Dream Big, Focus Small: Achieve Smarter Goals- Nov. 28, 2023
In this interactive Dale Carnegie course, Emerging Professionals learned how to identify urgent and important tasks, create a compelling vision for their life, and zero in with laser focus on the steps to get there. The course provided tips to overcome inevitable obstacles and how to set SMART (specific, measurable, attainable, results-oriented, time-phased) goals with a built-in feedback loop.
Client Interaction Workshop- Jan. 24, 2023
This interactive workshop included a panel of clients sharing their experiences working and communicating with consultants. Client volunteers helped lead the Emerging Professionals through real-life communications scenarios.Â

Engineering Leadership
This program targets professionals at your firm with at least 8 years experience, that show great promise and a bright future in team and department management.
This intensive 8-day program is only available to employees of ACEC Indiana regular and associate member firms and is limited to 26 motivated people interested in strengthening their future and next steps in their career.
The Engineering Leadership Program welcomes all professionals within engineering firms: engineers, architects, planners, historians, surveyors, as well as those in business development, human resources, and marketing roles. Our program is designed to embrace diversity and inclusion in all its forms, welcoming participants from diverse professional and personal backgrounds, including individuals of all genders, races, ethnicities, and identities.
Registration opens for ACEC Indiana members in June and Session 1 begins in November. The 2025-26 Program is currently sold out. Email sdunn@acecindiana.org to be placed on the waitlist for 2026-27.Â
Pinnacle Leadership
This 6 day in-person program is structured to build management expertise and leadership for mid-career leaders (15-20+ years)Â to progress to principal and ownership levels.
Taught by experienced professional practitioners, the agenda covers important topics every A/E firm leader needs to master as they move into critical leadership roles within their firm.
