ACEC Indiana Board Nomination
ACEC Indiana’s Board of Directors serves as the policy-making body of the association, responsible for business affairs and guiding the organization toward its mission. ACEC Indiana represents over 120 engineering and associate firms throughout Indiana, encompassing over 6,000 employees. The Board works to advance strategic priorities, including advocacy for the engineering industry, leadership and workforce development, and providing critical business resources to member firms.
Board Member Roles, Terms & Time Commitments
- Regular Member Director: 14 positions available for regular members.
- Associate Member Representative: 1 position available for associate members.
- All directors serve three-year terms with the opportunity for a second term.
- Board members are expected to attend regular Board meetings (6 per year) and regular ACEC Indiana events.
ACEC Indiana Board of Directors Qualifications
Interested individuals are encouraged to review the ACEC Indiana Pathway to Leadership, which further outlines the qualities of a strong candidate as well as all Board member responsibilities and expectations. Candidates are evaluated based on a range of professional qualifications and association engagement, including:
- Serve as a principal, owner or decision maker at your firm.
- Engaged as an active member, attending events and programs regularly.
- Firm supported annual programs such as sponsorship, Leadership class, etc.
- Served as Chair of at least one ACEC Indiana Committee.
- Participated in a Principal & Owners Summit or ACEC National Convention.
- Assisted staff in local, state and national legislative activities.
- Contributed to the ACEC Indiana PAC and National PAC.
- Support initiatives and/or fundraising for the Education & Workforce Foundation.
Nomination Process
- Interested individuals may nominate themselves or be nominated by another ACEC Indiana member.
- All nominations will be reviewed by the nominating committee to ensure a diverse and capable board that reflects the technical and professional standards of the engineering community.
- Nominations are closed until the 2027-28 cycle.
