PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE
American Council of Engineering Companies of Indiana, Inc., is a professional trade association of Indiana's premier consulting engineering firms, and in partnership with national ACEC, are working hard to be the advocate for engineering firms on legislative and business issues in order to maintain our reputation as "the voice of the industry". By their membership, ACEC Indiana firms have committed both financial and personal support to issues key to the engineering profession.
Our members are readily available to assist federal, state and local agencies as well as private, commercial and industrial clients in meeting their planning and professional design needs. Our members are the "Go To" people; if you need it we have a member that can design it.
ACEC Indiana's Firm Directory of Services has been designed to assist you in selecting a consulting engineering firm that meets your project needs. Their specialties include water, wastewater, structural, transportation, mechanical, electrical, architectural, environmental, geotechnical and many others. Please refer to the
Firm Directory of Services Link for a listing of our member firms and their expertise.
ACEC of Indiana supports Qualifications Based Selection (QBS) of design professionals. QBS promotes improved project quality by assuring that both the client and the consulting engineer clearly understand the scope of work required to meet the needs. Studies show that the use of QBS is more efficient and less costly than selection using price as the primary criteria. A clearly defined scope of work produced through this process leads to more cost-effective construction. Please refer to the QBS Process at
www.qbsindiana.org.
Please call ACEC of Indiana's Executive Director, Stephanie Morse, or Deputy Executive Director Beth Bauer for additional information on selecting a consulting engineering firm suitable to your professional needs.
Sincerely,

John Brand
