Forrest Lucas' Shared the Secret of His Success at the
2008 QBS Awards Luncheon
 
On April 17th, Forrest Lucas, CEO of Lucas Oil Products, Inc., captivated the audience with his true self-made millionaire story of the history of his company and how quality still remains to be his number one focus. His laid-back style and eagerness to share about his many financial endeavors, of which Lucas Oil Products, Inc. is only one, engaged the attendees throughout the 40 minute presentation and Q & A session. Lucas spoke of the necessity for ethical and "common sense" behavior when running a company and how timing can make all the difference when making important business decisions. He also answered questions concerning his recent partnership in Lucas Oil Stadium, scheduled to open this fall.
After completing his Q & A session, Lucas gave the stage to Megan Scott, Chairman of the Indiana Qualifications Based Selection (QBS) Coalition. Scott concluded the luncheon by presenting three awards to entities that used qualifications selection to retain professional services in the “built” environment. The winners are listed below.

Ninth Annual Scholarship Golf Outing
On Tuesday, June 17th join ACEC Indiana at Maple Creek Golf Club for the Ninth Annual Scholarship Golf Outing. Proceeds will benefit the ACEC Indiana Scholarship Fund - a fund created to award scholarships in meaningful amounts to outstanding engineering students attending Indiana colleges/universities. In the past seven years, ACEC Indiana has awarded $108,000 in scholarships to Indiana students. Registration information coming soon.
